Seeking, Writing, Teaching

For most of the 15 years I've lived in New York I've built sets and sourced props for commercial photo shoots, while working on the side to get my own creative projects off the ground.

Like so many others who are drawn to many things, I've bounced around over the years and done a lot of different kinds of work, among them: legislative coordinator, flame retardant sprayer, landscaper, permaculture garden designer, assistant set-designer, set-builder, development associate, adjunct professor.

That last one, adjunct professor, was by far the most fulfilling. I was fortunate to have great leeway in what and how I taught. Free from pressure to teach to a standard, I strove to foster discussion that advanced and expanded my students' understanding of themselves and the world around them.
